Another top defensive prospect to join the Alabama football program?

The recruiting class of 2020 was particularly strong for Alabama in the outside linebackers/weakside defensive end group, and 2021 looks to be yet another loaded class in that area. Yesterday, Dallas Turner(nation’s #2 WDE according to 247Sports) out of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida announced that he would make his commitment on July 1st(via CBSSports).

Dallas is absolutely elite, and in my opinion he is the #1 WDE in the nation. He has everything you look for in a prospect at his position. After playing his junior year for Heritage, Turner has transferred to St. Thomas Aquinas for his senior season.  Coach Nick Saban and staff have definitely recruited well out of St. Thomas and the surrounding areas, and look to continue to do so as Dallas Turner’s commitment date draws near.

After having been considered a Georgia lock by fans and many analysts alike, a little over a month ago things started to swing in the Tide’s direction. At 6-foot-4, 235 pounds, Dallas is exactly what Nick Saban looks for in an elite pass rusher.

Other schools that are battling for Turner’s signature include Clemson, Florida, Michigan, and Oklahoma. However, it seems as though they are all on the outside looking in as this appears to be a fight between the Crimson Tide and the Bulldogs of UGA. After seeing many national analysts predict Dallas Turner to Alabama and in speaking to those close to this situation, I am confident in my decision to do the same. So, there you have it Tide fans. On July 1st, at least as far as I’m concerned, Dallas Turner will roll with the Tide.
