Alabama football fans should feel pretty good about the Crimson Tide after a dominant performance in last night’s season debut.
Alabama football fans have waited a long time to see their beloved Crimson Tide take the field. The wait ended yesterday evening as the Tide won their season debut in dominant fashion. The offense was sharp and the defense was dominant, especially in the first half.
Mac Jones led the Alabama offensive attack and was 18 of 24 passing for 249 yards and two touchdowns. Najee Harris led the rushing attack with 17 carries for 98 yards and three touchdowns. Jaylen Waddle was incredible with eight receptions for 134 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Defensively the Crimson Tide looked to be back to a championship level, particularly in the first half. True freshmen Malachi Moore and Will Anderson looked fantastic in their debut for the Tide. There were a few small mistakes here and there, but nothing that can’t be cleaned up as we march further into the season. Dylan Moses and Christian Harris were lights out in the middle of the defense, and I believe they are the best inside linebacker duo in the nation after week one.
