Week three of the NFL season has come and gone, and while we have only saw one coach lose his position after his respective game, this could be a tickle down effect of what’s to come. We also seen the return of some big named former Alabama standouts return from an injury bug that held them out last week. So, without further ado, let’s jump into this week’s edition of Talking NFL.
JERRY JEUDY- 2 REC 61 YRDS 1 TD
Young Gun Jerry Jeudy is about to break out as a WR in the NFL. He finally got his first TD reception last night, and since that monkey is off his back, he’s about to take the NFL by storm. He will continue to learn the tendencies of being a star in the league, and he will continue to grow with Drew Lock.
Mark Ingram- 8 CAR 34YDS 1 TD
Unfortunately for Ingram, he has to share the load most of the time Gus Edwards at the RB position, and Lamar Jackson usually runs a lot himself, so Mark doesn’t have flashy numbers, but his still consistent. He added a TD and rushed for 4.2 yards in his eight carries, against a Washington defensive line that features Bama studs Johnathan Allen and Daron Payne, and Montez Sweat as well. 4.2 yards a carry against that massive D-line is impressive in itself.
Julio Jones- 4 REC 32 YDS
Julio has been hampered with a bad hamstring, and reaggravated it last night, but before he left, he still average 8 yards per catch. We all know a healthy Julio would be lighting up stat sheets, so we all are hoping for a speedy recovery.
Defensively, not many former Bama studs had flashy numbers, but had solid games nonetheless. Let’s take a peek at a few.
Landon Collins- 4 TKLS 4 AST
Daron Payne- 1 TKL 4 AST
Trevon Diggs- 4 TKLS 4 AST 1 SACK
Offensive MVP- Jerry Jeudy
