Week 3 for the SEC kicks off this weekend, as Alabama travels to Oxford, to take on Lane Kiffin’s Ole Miss Landsharks. Last week, I predicted Ole Miss would upset Kentucky, and they ended up winning a nail-biter in OT 42-41, after Kentucky’s kicker shanked a PAT attempt. Alabama, routed Texas A&M 52-24, and our offense hasn’t missed a step with Mac Jones at QB. This week, it’s a new week, Ole miss has an explosive offense, and we have a hurricane to deal with.

BOLD PREDICTION #1: HURRICANE DELTA MAKES THE BIGGEST IMPACT IN THE GAME

Hurricane Delta is expected to make landfall Friday early morning, which means she will be impacting the game Saturday. The original start time was set for 5 PM CST, but the SEC has now moved the game to a 6:30-7PM start, as of now. We haven’t even started the game yet and she’s already causing problems, just wait till the players hit the field Saturday night.

BOLD PREDICTION #2: WE SEE FOUR OR MORE TOTAL FUMBLES IN THE GAME

When the playing conditions going to be sloppy, field’s going to be trashed in the first five minutes of the game, and you have potential of rain the whole game, the ball and ball carrier becomes butter fingers. Saban said it best “we practiced with a wet ball today, that’s all we can do.” He’s right, but fumbles are going to be a problem I envision.

BOLD PREDICTION #3: BAMA DOESN’T COVER SPREAD BUT WINS A LOW SCORING GAME

I know, I’m going against one of my own bold predictions to start the year, where I said Bama wins every game this year by at least 3 TD’s, but I didn’t expect a hurricane during this game either. I believe last I saw was Bama by 24.5 spread wise. While I do believe we win, I don’t think Alabama scores a ton, due to the conditions and potentially a non-existent passing game due to potential high winds, but we should get plenty of guys in defensively to get some reps, and our bulldozers on the O-line to gel more together and start opening some holes for Najee & CO to get through to the second level.

Prediction: 24-13 Alabama
