For the first time since Kirby left, he returns to Bryant Denny leading the #3 team in the nation against our beloved #2 Alabama Crimson Tide. Wednesday, Bama fans learned Coach Nick Saban, along with AD Greg Byrne, had tested positive for Covid-19. As news broke, the line on the game changed a little more in favor of the Bulldogs. Saban has had 2 negative test so far, now the waiting game begins for the result from this morning’s test. While we wait for those, here’s my three bold predictions for tonight’s game.

This isn’t as bold now since the two negative tests have come back, but when that third test comes back and it’s negative, Saban will be leading his guys out of that tunnel and BDS (even for 20%) will erupt. Can Kirby handle the noise tonight, because our fans will be loud, and oh those LED lights are going to be in full effect tonight too. ***Please note*** Georgia stole the LED lighting effect from us, don’t let a barking idiot tell you otherwise.”

I fully expect Kirby to pull out everything he has tonight, and will try to use “reverse physiology” and use a backup QB to pull the victory tonight. As we all know, the last two times these teams have played, a backup QB won the game for Alabama (Tua and Hurts respectively). Kirby may try to pull that against Alabama tonight with J.T. Daniels.

After the lackluster performance last weekend at Ole Miss, Alabama’s defense knows it has to play great all 4 quarters if they want to beat Georgia tonight. One thing I’ve noticed that has been missing from past defenses is the emergence of a vocal leader on that side of the ball. Last week, I don’t remember anyone getting in guys ears while Matt Corral was shredding our defense. While Moses is the best to fit that bill, I think we need more leadership shown from not only him, but I believe you will see Surtain Jr step up and be a leader as well. With Battle out the first half, the secondary needs a leader to step up, and Surtain can sure do that.

Prediction: 42-28 Alabama
