Alabama football fans have already seen Nick Saban and staff put together a stellar recruiting class for 2021. Moments ago, things got even better as Ga’Quincy “Kool-Aid” McKinstry gave his verbal commitment to the University of Alabama.

Cue up the fireworks in Tuscaloosa. Alabama has just landed a monumental commitment from the #1 cornerback in the nation for 2021, Ga’Quincy “Kool-Aid” McKinstry out of Pinson Valley High School. Coach Karl Scott and defensive coordinator Pete Golding did a fantastic job in this particular recruitment. Beating out the likes of Auburn and LSU, Scott and Golding secured a verbal from the highest rated cornerback nationally according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Coach Hayes breaks down highlights of Alabama’s most recent commit, Ga’Quincy McKinstry.

This was a big time need met for Alabama, as they look to possibly lose both Patrick Surtain Jr. and Josh Jobe to the NFL after the conclusion of this season. McKinstry is just what the doctor ordered to fill the boundary corner spot opposite of Marcus Banks next season. Standing at six feet tall, and weighing right at 180 pounds, Kool-Aid has the length and everything else Nick Saban wants in a true corner.

Ricky Green of Tide Talk Sports breaks down exactly what Ga’Quincy McKinstry’s commitment means for Alabama, and gives 2 new predictions via ChatSports on YouTube.

McKinstry is a truly elite defensive back, and will likely play many years in the NFL. Cannot stress enough what a big deal this truly is for Alabama. Nick Saban and staff kept a five star in-state prospect home, and that’s the way it should be.
