Alabama Football: Karl Scott set to join the Minnesota Vikings.

by Cory Dees

The University of Alabama defensive backs coach, Karl Scott, has agreed to a deal to join the Minnesota Vikings of the NFL. This is a blow to the Alabama coaching staff, but if anyone can make an upgrade, it is Nick Saban. Coach Scott was a fantastic recruiter for the Crimson Tide, some notable names he landed throughout his tenure in Tuscaloosa are as follows: Tommy Brockermeyer, Pat Surtain II, Kool- Aid McKinstry, Drew Sanders and Jordan Battle. That is an elite list of players, on top of that, Karl Scott was known for the way he taught the fundamentals to his players and his connection to them.

As alluded to above, Nick Saban is the best in the business because he is able to always upgrade and plug new coaches in and keep the Bama train rolling. Some names that have been relayed to Tide Talk Sports for this coaching opening are:

  1. Derrick Ansley (previously coached at UA)
  2. Sam Pettito
  3. Marcus Woodson
  4. Deshea Townsend
  5. Terrell Buckley

As you can see, this is a “fluid” situation, but have faith, Nick Saban will keep the Tide rolling.
